When do we get to you?

The natural gas conversion will be carried out in three steps: You will receive full information from us with immediate effect. From 2018, your natural gas appliances will be inspected, adapted and checked by our technicians.

Which grid area are we responsible for?

ErdgasUmstellung is responsible for the installation, adaptation and quality assurance of its natural gas appliances in Cologne and the Rhine region. You can find out if you are within our service area and qualify for conversion to natural gas by simply clicking on the interactive map.

Why is the conversion happening?

L gas resources are becoming depleted and H gas is the future-proof alternative. This is why the natural gas supply in the Rhineland is also being gradually converted.

Who are we?

As a brand of Rheinische NETZGesellschaft (RNG), ErdgasUmstellung will be in charge of adapting your natural gas appliances.

Timetable and area

Between 2020 and 2029, ErdgasUmstellung will adapt all the natural gas appliances in the conversion districts. Conversion to H gas in the RNG natural gas grid area will take place in several stages. To find out exactly when the different regions and communities will be converted, please click on our interactive map.
